"I breed guinea pigs, rabbits, and birds. I will be using the animal register for all of them...I love this program. Its so much better than all the others that I have tried."
Ian Hitch, New Zealand. July 2001

"I had no clue that the software was so cheap! Only $20 is a steal. I would have paid $200! The options offered are perfect for my ferretry and have reduced my paperwork to near nothing...Thank you for developing such an easy to use, affordable program!"
Chris Sayne, Ferret Friends of Pittsburgh. October 2002

"I have been using Lao Tzu's Animal Register for several months now. It is simple to install and use. My data base contains 400 or so animals at this stage and was a simple matter to set up. Producing pedigrees is a quick job that only takes a matter of minutes. I recommend it to anybody who is looking for a simple easy way to produce pedigrees and keep track of lots of breeding animals. "

"The Progamme I bought is just the BEST. I can't believe the time I can save on writing out pedigrees. SUPER! Also to have all your animals neatly packaged up just a mouse click away & there is all the info right in front of your eyes :) No more messy piles of folders to find spots for. "
Brenda Leeash Cavies Australia, October 1999

"I started teaching Genetics & animal breeding in 1966 in the Vet school here. Up to a few years ago, we did the CI's (coefficient of inbreeding) & CR's (coefficient of relationship) by hand for 3 or 4 generations of inbreeding. I came across your programme & thought it made a good teaching format for:
i) pedigree input
ii) no other genetic clutter
iii) it showed simply the way individuals in a pedigree are distributed

I have 6 groups of students who use LaoTzu's Animal Register to input their data and then check their manual CI & CR calculations. I know there are more sophisticated (and more expensive) programmes, but this is small, portable & allows me to play with important pedigrees for the easier understanding of the scientific principles."

"I am pleased with my decision to computerise the stud records...Having now got the records on my PC means that I don't lose track of who is who and when each sow is next due to be paired up. In the longer term, building up a database of which animal is related to which I hope will be a big help in planning the breeding program...LAR installs easily and works "out of the box" and is working fine..."
